Sara Davis, 2019 Mrs. Texas Contestant Selects Wellness as her Platform

DALLAS - May 1, 2019 - PRLog -- Sara Davis, a North Dallas resident will be a contestant in the upcoming 2019 Mrs. Texas Pageant.  The Mrs. Texas Pageant is held annually at various locations around Texas.  The 2019 Pageant will be May 2-4, 2019 at the Palace Theater, Corsicana, TX.     With her mother Thelma Porter making history, Sara is more inspired than ever to make a difference and create a legacy. Sara's platform for the pageant is Wellness for Women: spirit, soul and body.  Sara states, "Your spirit, mind, will, emotions, mental health and body are all integral parts of your wellness.  Life experiences, stress, and the foods we eat are all impacting our health and wellbeing.  We need to start with healing – healing our mind, healing our soul, healing our bodies and healing one another."

Being a firm advocate for self-care, Sara believes that many of our health conditions are avoidable when we are educated on our past, present and options for healing.  Education brings power and power brings motivation.  She encourages her audiences by sharing "When we feel powerful, we begin to manifest the success traits of self-discipline, consistency, healthy boundaries, confidence and joy. Those are all things that we aspire to experience every day."

With more than 25 years of experience in the health and fitness industry, Sara has the knowledge and experience to speak on wellness.  She was one of the top high school sprinters in California and an All-American sprinter on the 400-meter relay at UCLA.  While in college, Sara was in a near fatal car accident and through the rehabilitation process she was introduced to different training methods which ignited a desire to learn more about the human body and become a group fitness instructor and personal trainer.

One aspect of the Pageant is Facebook votes. The $2 Fabulous Face Award proceeds go to fund the Victoria Siegel Foundation (http://www.victoriasiegelfoundation.org/) and their mission to support individuals struggling with opioid addiction.
