Colombo Dockyard Ship Repair & Shipbuilding operations back to normalcy after the Easter Sunday Terror attacks in Sri Lanka

COLOMBO, Sri Lanka - May 2, 2019 - PRLog -- The shipyard teams and families have fortunately not been directly affected, on account of the attacks. The shipyard teams have turned up for work through past week, with heavy hearts, mourning for the loss of innocent life and continue to carry on their duties, serving the ship owners and managers at one of the strategic ship repair and shipbuilding hubs.

As a grieving nation, determined to rise back on its feet, we appeal for confidence from the international maritime community and our friendly nations to patronise this beautiful island nation and give us much needed support and strength to move forward in our odyssey of excellence.

Colombo Dockyard PLC operates in collaboration with Onomichi Dockyard Co. Ltd, since 1993. Have been a proven sucess storey, celebrating 26 years of strong patrnership.

Other projects in progress in the shipyard as at 2nd May 2019

•MT. Victoria 267 (6,491 DWT) tanker owned by VIVCORE ENERGY SOLUTIONS PVT. LTD, Maldives is accommodated in Drydock No. 01.
•Mt. L M Mahaweli (2,882 DWT) tanker owned by LANKA MARINE SERVICES (PRIVATE) LTD, Sri Lanka is accommodated in Dock No. 02.
•MV. TCI Prabhu (3,490 DWT) General Cargo carrier owned by TCI Seaways Ltd, Chennai India is accommodated at repair pier after undocking from Dock No. 03.
•The Cable Layer vessel under construction accommodated at South repair pier / newbuilding pier.
