NEW YORK - May 2, 2019 - PRLog -- American University of Antigua (AUA) College of Medicine, a medical school dedicated to providing education of the highest quality, granting opportunities to underrepresented minorities and fostering a diverse academic community, is collaborating with American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) to host information sessions.

AAPI is a forum that represents more than 80,000 practicing physicians in the United States and enables Indian-American physicians to pursue their aspirations in professional and community affairs, and excel in patient care, teaching and research. AUA and AAPI's connection began in 2007. In 2012, AAPI recognized AUA as the leader in international medical education. The title was renewed in 2015 after AAPI leadership conducted a site visit and were impressed by AUA's several state approvals, curriculum, resources, faculty and graduate success. AUA is the only international medical school to obtain this recognition.

AUA continues to uphold the accreditation due to its robust Basic Sciences and Clinical Sciences curriculum; affiliation with Florida International University; transfer agreement with Warwick Medical School; more than 40 clinical sites throughout the U.S., India, Canada and United Kingdom and consistent USMLE pass rates and residency match rates significantly higher than other international medical schools.

The information sessions, which begin on Friday, May 10, and run through Monday, May 27, will inform students interested in medical school about AUA's M.D. Program, general questions regarding AUA and the factors that lead to AUA being named the leader in international medical training by AAPI. During the information sessions, there will be an interactive presentation led by AUA's team, and AUA alumni will be in participating in the event to discuss their experience at AUA and answer questions from attendees. Presenters will cover AUA's holistic admissions process, innovative medical programs, exclusive alumni experiences and related questions pertaining to the M.D. Program. Media are welcome and encouraged to join.
