Mana Organics is in winners circle at World Tea Expo in Las Vegas

IRVINE, Calif. - May 10, 2019 - PRLog -- Mana Organic's Assam Gold whole-leaf tea won a Global Tea Championship Silver Medal in the 2019 international tea competition Assam tea category.

As the World Tea Expo unfolds in Las Vegas from June 11-13^th, Mana Organics' winning tea will be part of the Winner's Circle tea tasting event on Wednesday, June 12.

Harvested from the premium leaves as a small-batch tea, Assam Gold is only available in June and July each year when the sun is perfect to produce the golden tips that give the Assam tea a sweet aroma and full body.

Assam Gold will be entered to win the People's Tea Choice Award as expo attendees cast their ballot during this special tea tasting event.

"We have perfected this golden tippy tea at our Chota-Tingrai tea estate," explains John Grams, US Director of Mana Organics, "This tea garden is a USDA certified organic estate using Tocklai approved clones and seed stock to produce over twenty grades of teas, known for their strong flavors."

During the expo, Avantika Jalan, CEO of Mana Organics, will participate in an Assam Tea panel discussion about the challenges of growing award-winning teas like Assam Gold. "This year we have been fortunate to have excellent weather conditions," says Avantika, "so the tender leaf tips were not damaged. Our first summer tea plucking has begun, and we forecast three more second flush harvests through September."
