Follow on Google News | Fresh Air Wins Fitness ChallengeMae's Breath Foundation continues the efforts of using physical activity while bringing awareness to Lung Cancer.
By: Mae's Breath Foundation Lung cancer is still considered a leading cancer death among women and men, smokers and non-smokers. It is suggested that in 2019 14% of new cancers diagnosed will be that of lung cancer. This is a disease that holds people captive, when it involves breathing and functioning, along with other unfortunate symptoms of the disease. Mae's Breath goals as a growing foundation are to bring about continued talk and awareness on empowering patients as they go through the process of the disease. The summer of 2019 each of the board members will take part in outdoor fitness activities that will showcase the importance of fresh air as well as physical activity, and though specific observation should be addressed in how much is too much when it involves lung cancer and exercise, it is concluded light to moderate exercise is a positive step. The board members will partner up with other participants in completing physical activity challenges. The purpose of the challenges is to promote outdoor activities and lung and breathing functions. Each member will complete their goals within a specific time slot and the team that achieves their goal will be presented with a small reward. Mae's Breath Foundations is proud of their continued success with the challenges as it promotes physical activity for the name of lung cancer.
