Amplify Westchester Bringing Startup and Innovation Leaders to Westchester County

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. - May 22, 2019 - PRLog -- Amplify Westchester, a new speaker series created to help those who want to learn more about the startup and innovation communities across various sectors, is bringing monthly interactive discussions to Westchester County residents to fuel education and new connections with startup founders, entrepreneurs, and investment community members. The discussions kickoff on May 22nd with Angela Lee, Founder, 37 Angels, Matt Rizzetta, CEO, North 6th Agency, and Fran Hauser, Startup Investor and Author.

"Those scheduled to appear have incredible experiences working in the startup, innovation, and investment fields to share with our residents who are interested in learning more, just as I am."

Angela Lee, Founder of 37 Angels and Chief Innovation Officer and Associate Dean at Columbia Business School, will be kicking off the series on Wednesday leading the discussion "Angel Investing 101" (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/amplify-westchester-tickets-61767290629). Topics include how to become an angel investor, learning the difference between an angel and a VC, how to vet an early stage business model, making sense of startup valuations, what investors look for, common missteps, and more.

Matt Rizzetta, Westchester resident and CEO and Founder of the award-winning brand communications firm North 6th Agency (N6A), will join the series on Thursday, June 20th to discuss innovation and marketing tips for startup entrepreneurs. On July 11th, Westchester resident, former digital media executive, investor, and best-selling author, Fran Hauser, will be hosting a fireside chat to share exclusive insights on how to pitch your idea/startup, and how to raise money behind those ideas. Hauser has built one of the biggest online media brands of PEOPLE.com, and transitioned to an active early stage investor with over 20 startups in her portfolio.  She speaks frequently about entrepreneurship, women in business, and personal branding.
