Mizner Country Club Pays Tribute To Those Who Serve

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. - May 30, 2019 - PRLog -- Members of the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and Marines, as well as Honor Guard ROTC Cadets, gathered together with Mizner Club members and their families this past Memorial Day at Mizner Country Club, Delray, for a special ceremony paying tribute to their service in our Armed forces.

The event hosted by the Mizner Country Club, in partnership with the United States Southern Command, was the Club's way of demonstrating its gratitude and support for members and others who valiantly serve, or have served, our country.

In addition to the Memorial Day tribute ceremony, military guests were treated to a day of culinary delights and a round of golf.

"We recognize the simple fact that freedom comes at a cost," said Larry Savvides, General Manager at Mizner Country Club. "It is our privilege and honor to host a day of reflection for the courageous and brave men and women who so fearlessly serve our Nation.   Our members are honored to share their Club and pay respect to our Armed Force and to open our facilities to them."

The event began with a gourmet buffet breakfast and an Opening Ceremony which included the National Anthem sung A cappella followed by a golf scramble on Mizner's newly renovated 18-hole golf course. A special luncheon followed.
