Owner of Healing Touch Pottery Rises from Devastation with a Mission to Help a Develo

Healing Touch Pottery will be empowering the lives of residents in Hattieville, Belize through creating jobs to keep up with product demand

NEW IPSWICH, N.H. - May 30, 2019 - PRLog -- Donna Rollins-Mowatt, owner of Healing Touch Pottery in Temple, NH brings her business back to life with the power to succeed.  You may remember this company suffered a catastrophic fire June 12, 2018.  Immediately after, Donna, friends and family, and her now husband Paul, rebuilt the kilns and structure hoping not to be down for too long.  They have not only risen from that destruction; they are now seeking a solution to keep up with the demand.

This is Healing Touch Pottery's philosophy:

Throwing pottery on a wheel is an age-old ceramic. Electricity, modern amenities, and equipment have revolutionized the production capabilities. Healing Touch Pottery has mastered the ability to stay true to handcrafting table wares in clay formation while increasing production by having an organized assembly where many artists touch and take part in the creating of each item.  That assembly requires more people to be involved in its development which in turn provides more jobs and a quicker turnover of product. That in turn gives each embracing consumer the ability to touch and hold a uniquely hand thrown piece of pottery.  The energy from the stone brings forward the healing aspect.

This is the couple's mission:

Keeping true to the quality and craftsmanship they sought out a global solution in Hattieville, Belize. Paul states "Opening this production location will empower the local women and give them growing opportunities." Economic development produces growth and stability, something this village desperately needs.  Most of the villagers are single mothers with no jobs.  Donna grew up in poor and knows the struggles first-hand of being a single mother with little or no help.  Donna says, "This mission is close to my heart.  A significant number of the female villagers are single mothers with no running water in their homes.  I too was a product of my environment. I was a teenage mother with little opportunity. I've experienced poverty and abuse and can make a difference in the lives of these women."   Their first-year goal is to employ 45 villagers, set up safe and adequate free daycare for their employees, and get their popular product back on the shelves to the smaller mom-and-pop shops who have been without.

Next Step:

Donna and Paul have depleted their personal funds.  They have an active Kickstarter campaign close to its deadline, http://bit.ly/HealingTouchPottery.  Currently they are 70% funded and need the final number of backers to get the Belize project to completion.
