Channel Islands Harbor to Hold Fine Art Festival

OXNARD, Calif. - June 20, 2019 - PRLog -- Channel Islands Harbor will host its Fine Art Festival featuring fine arts and crafts 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., July 13-14, at the Harbor Landing, located at 2810 Harbor Blvd., at the corner of Channel Islands Blvd.

The event features accomplished artists presenting their original work in all mediums of two and three dimensional fine art, including paintings in acrylics, oils, watercolors, photography, and sculpture in glass, metal, and wood. Each artist will be present to meet with the public and discuss their work. All work is available for purchase.

This event is produced by West Coast Artists, which has presented fine art shows throughout Southern California, Arizona and Nevada since 1983.

As the first recreational harbor in Ventura County, Channel Islands Harbor has become one of the largest in California. It now includes over 300 acres of land and water, but the initial development included only a small portion of the current harbor area. Additional construction took place over the years, including the west channel of the harbor, along Harbor Boulevard and Peninsula Road. Development of the harbor has been largely accomplished through leases with private developers, who have constructed eight marinas (not including the three constructed by the County) comprising over 2200 boat slips, two hotels, two yacht club buildings, two boat yards, three shopping areas, restaurants, a Maritime Museum, over 100 condominiums and 485 apartments.
