Pershing County's First Online Tax Sale Generates over $1,000,000

LOVELOCK, Nev. - June 27, 2019 - PRLog -- The Treasurer's Office of Pershing County, Nevada hosted its first online auction for tax-defaulted properties via Bid4Assets.com. By moving online, the county exposed the sale to a significantly wider audience, with the property auctions viewed over 40,000 times. The four-day online auction generated $1,060,284 in proceeds to support essential county services.

Online bidding took place from June 14^th to June 18^th. Of the 270 properties that were listed, 39 properties were redeemed and 180 were sold, primarily vacant land. The online sale attracted 109 bidders from 20 states around the country including New York, Florida, Kentucky and Alabama. Winning bids ranged from $350 to $50,501.
