The Giant Food Community Bag Program, which launched in July 2019, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities where shoppers live and work. The Center for Watershed Protection, Inc. was selected as the August beneficiary of the program by store leadership at the Giant Food located at Ellicott City. The Center for Watershed Protection, Inc. will receive a $1 donation every time the $2.50 reusable Community Bag is purchased at this location during August, unless otherwise directed by the customer through the Giving Tag attached to the bag. "We are excited to partner with the Giant Food Community Bag Program and be a part of the important work they do to positively engage our community to achieve a brighter future. The Center appreciates the support so that we can continue to focus on assisting our community achieve clean water goals for recreation, health, and livability."
