PRLog -- From bar bells and balance balls to salon chairs & lice combs, one mom found her passion after seeing an unusual ad on Craigslist in 2011. "Lice Removal Technician - $25/hr". Really? Do you have to be a nurse? Pam Skinner decided to find out. "Turns out, one of the moms in my PTA had just started her own home-based business in lice treatment. She was so sweet to let me tag along. I went on about 5-10 home visits, over about 6 months. You could say I was bitten by the bug!" Skinner realized that the lice treatment business did two things: it paid very well and it was extremely rewarding. "In about 1-2 hours, I could eliminate a frazzled mother's nightmare. Very often moms are embarrassed, stressed, exhausted, and not sure where to turn. They are incredibly grateful to find out there is professional help!". Skinner found a company she liked in Ohio, and flew back to train for a week. She opened her salon in Sept. 2012. It was slow to grow, but Skinner volunteered to talk to countless PTA's and parenting groups. She sent brochures to pediatricians. She gave bottles of Lice Prevention Spray (with her contact info) to after school programs and school nurses. People began to write 5 Star YELP reviews. Then everyone began writing 5 Star YELP reviews. in 2013, she was finally able to hire Diana, one of her best friends of 25 years, full time, which made a HUGE difference. Now it was fun! Since then Skinner had developed her own non-toxic, hypoallergenic product line called Coco Loco All Natural Leave-In Lice Treatment. She also has trademarked and patented her own lice comb: NitNabber: World's Best Lice Comb. Most recently, Skinner created an Online Mobile Lice Business Boot Camp. It is available through her online academy. For videos and more information about starting a lice business visit:
