WILSONVILLE, Ore. - Aug. 12, 2019 - PRLog -- World of Speed Motorsports Museum has been celebrating the long and storied career of Mario Andretti with a spectacular 11-car exhibit that opened in March. The featured exhibit is timely because it is the 50th anniversary of Andretti's 1969 Indianapolis 500 win. As an extension of that celebration, the Museum is proud to host Mario and Adam Carolla in a live podcast taping on August 30. The live show will give life-long fans a chance to see him interviewed live amongst some of his most famous winning cars.

"We are all just so excited to have him here," said Dave Pearson, Executive Director. "Our team put their heart and soul into our latest feature exhibit aptly named Mario Andretti: Racing Royalty and Mario has already been so giving with his time and energy through this process. He is one of the greatest American race car drivers of all time and we are thrilled to be able to have him here live to share his passion for motorsports with our members and guests."

Adam Carolla is best known as a comedian, actor, radio personality, television host, and NY Times best-selling author. A lesser known fact is that he has collected 10 of Paul Newman's race cars (Newman was a great friend to Mario Andretti) and was the driving force behind the 2015 documentary film Winning: The Racing Life of Paul Newman. Carolla has restored Newman's cars and others to competition level and races them.

CarCast is a twice weekly automotive podcast hosted by Carolla, Bill Goldberg, and Matt "The Motorator" D'Andria. It is the only show of its kind that explores all aspects of the automotive space from the performance aftermarket, new car buying, and the future of automotive industry.

In the afternoon before the live podcast, Adam Carolla and Matt "The Motorator" D'Andria will judge a car show at World of Speed that includes three car categories for entrants and three more awards for people's choice, best paint, and best performance. Find out more information about the car show here: www.worldofspeed.org/carshow.

"It is a real privilege and a great honor to have someone of Mario's caliber, as a person and a driver, here at the Museum," says Ron Huegli, Museum Curator. "Also, having a celebrity like Adam Carolla at the Museum is a thrill, especially since he is a true car guy. When we started this Museum just over four years ago, I could have only dreamed to be at the level we are today, and it is a real tribute to all the staff here that make this place great."
