Follow on Google News | GeoComm Software on Display During Baltimore County, Maryland 9-1-1 Center Tours at APCOBy: GeoComm GeoComm recently partnered with Baltimore County and MicroAutomation for an extensive public safety improvement project utilizing a wide range of GeoComm public safety GIS software and services that capped off with the implementation of GeoLynx Server and GeoLynx Mobile MDC. GeoLynx Server is a web-based application which achieves automatic plotting of emergency incidents. When receiving a 9-1-1 call, the software automatically plots the location of emergency incidents, reads class of service, caller name, location, callback number, and other information from the 9-1-1 ALI record. In addition, GeoLynx Mobile MDC will extend Baltimore County's public safety GIS into the field when it is installed in over 600 vehicles to provide in-vehicle mapping and navigation for police, fire, and emergency medical service (EMS) responders. The Baltimore County 9-1-1 Center is one of the largest emergency call centers in Maryland and answers an average of 2,200 9-1-1 calls per day. APCO 2019 Conference attendees interested in participating in this unique experience can sign up for this tour, hosted by MicroAutomation, at the APCO information booth located in the lobby of the Baltimore Convention Center.
