NEW ORLEANS - Aug. 9, 2019 - PRLog -- On Thursday, August 22nd, 2019, Rabadash Entertainment founder and president John Autin will be feted with the Cutting Edge Lifetime Achievement Award as part of this year's CE Music Conference. In addition to the award presentation, the evening will feature performances by four Rabadash Records artists.

It all takes place at one of New Orleans' most eclectic performance venues, The Art Garage (2231 St. Claude Ave.), with Big Daddy O kicking things off at 7pm. Big Daddy has been a member of the Rabadash family for almost 20 years, releasing four albums of swampy, Louisiana blues that have earned him a worldwide following. After Autin is presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award, the evening kicks into high gear with performances by the newest member of the Rabadash family, soulful singer and keyboard player Serabee (best known for her appearance on season 2 of The Voice), and John Lisi & Delta Funk. Lisi is a 2008 recipient of the Slim Harpo Blues Pioneer Award winner, and has a dozen albums to his credit over a 20-year solo career; his new album will be the next Rabadash release. And the night will be capped off by NOLA all-star band The Shape Shifters.

The following night, two venues play host to three Rabadash artists. First up, beginning at 8:55pm The Art Garage will feature David Bradley, whose eclectic blues continue the traditions of greats like James Booker. Bradley will be immediately followed by the duo of KASS and John Autin. Kass is a mesmerizing jazz vocalist and multi-instrumentalist (upright bass, guitar, djembe), and the New Orleans Piano Man himself, John Autin, fills out the duo's sound. Across the street, at Allways Lounge, Rabadash's newest discovery, singer/songwriter/guitarist, Jess Kerber, hits the stage for a solo performance at 11pm.

Finally, longtime New Orleans favorite, Michael "The Sheik" O'Hara, will be playing at the 9th Annual NOLA Downtown Music and Arts Festival (at Duncan Plaza) at 5:30pm. The Sheik's latest album, It's My Turn, was released this spring on Rabadash.

Celebrating its 35th anniversary throughout 2019, Rabadash Records is the third oldest 'family owned' independent record label in country. Since its very first release, the label's primary focus has been a commitment to preserving the music of New Orleans and southern Louisiana with works by legacy artists and new performers who embody the Crescent City's rich musical traditions.
