How sanctions can spark competition and innovation

SHIBUYA-KU, Japan - Aug. 17, 2019 - PRLog -- A few months ago we saw the United States place sanctions against US Companies doing business with Chinese counterparts. This sparked Chinese companies scrambling to put together alternatives to these required components.

Today, we will look at Huawei and the Android OS. US sanctions caused Huawei to push forward with developing Harmony OS an alternative to the Market dominated Android OS. This example shows how sanctions can have an opposite affect versus what they were intended to do. Harmony OS can now compete directly with Android OS on updates and capabilities on the same hardware.

The remaining question is once sanctions are lifted will Harmony OS continue to be developed. We believe it will as the OS market can be very lucrative. Companies pay to have their products included with the OS. Skype, Chrome, Line, WhatsApp and Facebook just to name a few are now standard in some versions of Android.

Did the United States while trying to punish China push them into a competitive position? Well let's see how what features and advancements Harmony OS offers consumers.
