AVANTE Introduces Patent-Pending Real-Time 3D Container Locating System Systems for Optimization of Live Loading and Unloading

PRINCETON, N.J. - Aug. 25, 2019 - PRLog -- In the upcoming IANA Intermodal Expo 2019 on September 15 at Long Beach, AVANTE will demonstrate its 3D real-time container locating system for assisting intermodal yard in achieving optimized live loading and unloading operation.

The traditional container yard management system relies heavily on the use of many spotters for locating containers during daily operation. This patent-pending locating solution holistically geo-tag the loading and unloading event and container recogntion in achieving the 3D container location. This capability does not add any operational activities and instead can reduce operational costs and increase efficiency in container yard management.

Integrated GPS, Sensors and Image Recognition for 3D Container Locating
AVANTE system holistically geo-tags the container loading and unloading movement and lifting events with imaging for container ID for confirmation of the work order. This end-to-end tracking of the known container with a known movement equipment and ID mark recognition achieved the fully automatic visibility of the all of the containers in the yard including the height location of the stacked multiple containers. AVANTE 3D RTLS for intermodal container yard management is web-based and designed for remote visibility, accessibility to the stakeholders, and easily integration of existing yard management software.

Full Visibility of Inbound and Outbound Container Trucking for Live Loading and Unloading Optimization
The ultimate goal of intermodal yard operation is to achieve as close to 100% live loading and unloading operational efficiency. The increase of traditional intermodal yard of 10% range of live loading and unloading to 50% or more can dramatically increase the capacity of the intermodal yard operation. In assisting achievement of inbound and outbound container visibility, AVANTE Mobile App is designed to links the specific waybill to the truck driver that is tasked to deliver to or pickup the container from the intermodal container yard. This allows the yard management system to have the real-time location of the truck and driver once they log in for the task. Two way communication is automatically established for the yard management to properly direct and assist the truck driver. The end-to-end visibility of the goods being shipped is thus complete from the time the container is picked up till its is delivered.
