#americart2019 art and culture documentary to be filmed on location in Baker City, Oregon

BAKER CITY, Ore. - Aug. 30, 2019 - PRLog -- The project is a one-hour documentary and six-episode series about art and culture in America. Directed by the NYC artist and photographer, EFDLT Studio, #Americart2019 will be shot on location from NYC to Sonoma County. Baker City is one of ten communities invited to participate. "My goal is to reach everyday Americans, meet people and discover their intimate relation with art using my years of experience of conducting interviews as a former social worker," said Film Director EFDLT Studio. "I am hoping for open heart discussions to collect authentic stories and personal relationships with art and culture."

The film crew will arrive in Baker City on Friday September 6^th in time to start the weekend by exploring the local arts scene during the monthly first Friday Art Walk.  Saturday and Sunday the film crew will work with Travel Baker County to interview several local artists and members of the arts community.

Sunday afternoon the Americart2019 film crew and Travel Baker County will host a public meet and greet from 2:30 till 4:30 p.m. at the Powder River Pavilion in Geiser Pollman Park where all community members are invited to share their stories and talk about the arts with Americart2019. Community members can also sign the Americart2019 14-foot art canvas that has been traveling with the film crew to each of the 10 communities and will be unveiled at the end of filming in Sonoma County the following week.

Travel Baker County marketing director Timothy Bishop has been working with the Baker Arts Guild , Crossroads Carnegie Art Center, and members of the local arts community over the summer to coordinate the film crews visit and is delighted that baker County was selected as one of the ten communities to be included in the project.  "We met the producers last spring and knew that Baker County would be a perfect fit for this project"  The hardest part has been narrowing it down to what the film crew can actually do in just the two days that they're here in Baker City."
