Tuesday 9/17 at 1:30pm Ribbon cutting ceremony launches new Meals on Wheels regional office in MD

BALTIMORE - Sept. 16, 2019 - PRLog -- Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland, Inc. (MOWCM) is pleased to announce that it will officially open the new Baltimore Metropolitan Regional Office with a ribbon cutting on September 17^th, 2019 at 1:30 p.m at 63 Shipping Place, Baltimore, MD 21222.

The new regional office, which serves the Baltimore metropolitan community will also hold an Open House that day from 1:00pm-3:00pm. Guests are invited to see how MOWCM is "more than a meal" by learning about other services beyond the meal such as our Kibble Connection, Housing Upgrades Benefitting Seniors, and Grocery Assistance, as well as experiencing how technology is used to be more efficient and monitor client's condition in real time.

Nearly 60 years ago, Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland began in Baltimore City and has expanded over the years to include 8 counties in central Maryland.  Today, we have deep roots in our community, and work together to serve those in need. Merging our offices allows us to work more collaboratively to meet the unique needs of our aging neighbors.  Today's ceremony marks our ongoing commitment to delivering nutritious meals and supportive services to our homebound and disabled neighbors throughout both Baltimore City and County," said Stephanie Archer-Smith, MOWCM's Executive Director.

Archer-Smith and MOWCM's Board of Directors President, Alan Peljovich, P.E. will be joined by Senator Johnny Ray Salling, Delegate Bob Long, Delegate Ric Metzgar and Tammy Cline from the Baltimore County Department on Aging to officiate the Baltimore Metropolitan Regional Office Ribbon Cutting.
