U.S. Navy Mandates Use of Opus Suite by Systecon

ARLINGTON, Va. - Sept. 16, 2019 - PRLog -- The U.S. Navy has mandated the use of Opus Suite for Readiness Based Sparing (RBS), Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), and other cost/capability analyses. While Opus Suite tools have been well-known and widely employed globally for decades, this mandate is pertinent for continued expansion in the United States defense sector.

Through building awareness of its capabilities, the US Navy now recognizes Opus Suite as a powerful decision support tool for reducing the costs of procurement, operation, and maintenance of technical systems, all without sacrificing capacity or performance. Over the last three years, Systecon has worked closely with the Navy on several pilot programs to demonstrate why Opus Suite is an invaluable decision support tool for Life Cycle Management (LCM) and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) work. Significant cost and readiness improvement have been seen during these pilot efforts on SPY-6, EASR, F/A-18, and F-35, as well as on several other programs leveraging the Navy's Enterprise Product Lifecycle Management Integrated Decision Environment (ePLM-IDE). With the recent mandate, all programs will leverage Opus Suite by FY22 and Opus Suite will provide the analytic engine inside of the Model Based Product Support (MBPS) program as the Navy Common Readiness Model (NCRM).
