First introduced in 1991, Retro-Bit confirms that this new Metal Storm release is the original Japanese version translated to English and includes higher difficulty options and a brand-new cinematic introduction to the plot.

Metal Storm marks the most recent collaboration between IREM and Retro-Bit, following the release of Holy Diver and R-Type III & Super R-Type Collector's Edition in 2018.
