The Center for Contemporary Art receives "Community Grant" from The Provident Bank Foundation

BEDMINSTER, N.J. - Sept. 20, 2019 - PRLog -- The Center for Contemporary Art recently received a "Community Grant" from The Provident Bank Foundation in support of its art outreach program for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other special needs.

The Center offers these art classes year-round for children ages 6-15. The arts provide an invaluable avenue of self-expression for children with limited or no verbal communication. Because children with ASD often have heightened sensory needs, they respond well to the multi-sensory stimulation and hands-on approach inherent in art. Students also benefit from guided explorations designed to foster communication, creativity, and problem solving, with hands-on activities involving clay and paint.

Monday – Thursday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Friday 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Closed Sundays and major holidays. The gallery is also open during the evening when classes are in session.
