The Lounge at {9} Presents Lucky Omolo: "Cleopatra Hill" for First Friday

PHOENIX - Sept. 26, 2019 - PRLog -- The Lounge at {9} The Gallery presents the debut series of oil painter Lucky Omolo in a featured exhibition, Cleopatra Hill, opening First Friday, October 4th, 6-10 PM at 1229 Grand Avenue, Phoenix, AZ. Inspired by his recent travels to Jerome, Arizona, Omolo captures the authenticity, darkness, and inner beauty of the old mining towns of the Southwest. From the eroding buildings, dark alleyways and local residents, Omolo seeks to celebrate Jerome as a jewel of Arizona culture.

Born in Nairobi, Kenya, Lucky Omolo began painting after a family friend gifted him a set of oil paints. Igniting his spark and creativity, Omolo has dedicated himself to conveying his perception of the world in oil through figurative work and cityscapes. Inspired by artists from Vermeer to Malcolm Liepke, Omolo conveys the feelings and deep expression he experiences from the architecture and individuals he encounters in his travels.
