Rady School MSBA Recognized as a Top Program by QS Business Masters Rankings

SAN DIEGO - Sept. 27, 2019 - PRLog -- The Rady School of Management at the University of California San Diego has been highly ranked for its Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) program by QS Business Masters Rankings, a ranking published by QS Top Universities. Overall, the program ranked 11th in the U.S. and 26th globally for MSBA programs. The school rose six places in the ranking both nationally and internationally among a much larger pool of schools eligible for ranking. In 2018, only 45 MSBA programs qualified for the ranking and in 2020 there were 84.

"It is outstanding that our MSBA program has been ranked among the top programs across the globe in the very short time since it began," said Rady School Dean Lisa Ordóñez. "This ranking truly demonstrates the exceptional quality of the program, from the distinguished faculty who lead it to the bright and talented students who make a significant impact in the industries they work in after graduation."

The ranking was determined by five factors: employability, alumni outcomes, value for money, thought leadership and class & faculty diversity. The Rady School ranked in the top 10 globally for the diversity and thought leadership measures. The data to determine the ranking was collected from the QS Global Employer Survey, the QS Global Academic Survey and a survey completed by the business schools.

The first class of the Rady School's MSBA program matriculated in fall of 2016. The program offers hands-on training to prepare students to use data and analytics to identify business opportunities, generate business insights and create business solutions. The program is designed to meet the rapidly growing need for skilled professionals who can frame key operational and strategic business questions and leverage data, analytics and information technology to discover new insights to address these questions. Rady School MSBA graduates create immediate value in organizations by improving marketing, financial, management and operational decisions through the use of data and quantitative analysis.
