Follow on Google News | Grove Gangsters Rock Out on the Next GingerNewYork TV Show in New York CityLead Singer ARION SOCHOROW is Joined by his Band Mates from GROVE GANGSTERS to Perform on the GNY TV Show at Manhattan Neighborhood Network TV Studios, RSVP for Studio Audience. Friday, October 4, 2019, Spectrum 34 & HD 1995, 2pm.
In 2012, Arion started sending vocal covers to the No Doubt community and many assumed they were old demos from the actual band or copied tracks from Gwen's actual voice. Despite having no interest in performing or singing professionally, it was suggested Arion start a No Doubt tribute band. Arion also performed at a local annual singing talent show called "Freehold Idol", which included Jo Wymer and Brenda K Starr as reputable judges. The audience and judges were stunned by Arion's performances and pointed out the talent of a male singing female fronted rock music as something they had never seen before. Aside from being male fronted, this No Doubt tribute project shares the bands musical roots and sound from 1987 to modern times. Their unusual, but infectious blend of alternative rock, punk ska, new wave, funk and reggae is engaging and often buried under their mainstream hits and Gwen Stefani's solo career. Arion is currently working on his own music. Members of Grove Gangsters include: Arion Sochorow, Nick Patyk, Carlos Pino, Conrad Valdini, John Benedetti and Kevin AV. https://www.youtube.com/ For More Information: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ Email: grovegangsterband@ GingerNewYork found on Manhattan Neighborhood Network (MNN) since launching in November, 2010, has been showcasing the "Kool Kats…Gotham Nights" greats of music and culture of New York and beyond.
