The Woods at Cedar Run to host Veterans Breakfast

CAMP HILL, Pa. - Oct. 22, 2019 - PRLog -- The Woods at Cedar Run will host a breakfast buffet to honor all veterans and their families on Nov. 8.

    The breakfast will begin at 9 a.m. at the senior living community located at 824 Lisburn Road. The event will be held as part of the upcoming Veterans Day observance and is open to all veterans.

    "We just want to say, 'Thank you,' to all of our veterans for their service to our country," said Tim McCallister, Community Relations Director of The Woods at Cedar Run. "They've made sacrifices and served our country in order to preserve our freedoms and way of life. This buffet is only one small way we can express our gratitude."

    A total of 38 veterans names are included on The Veterans Wall at The Woods at Cedar Run. The Woods' wall commemorates the residents who served in the U.S. Armed Forces.

    The Woods' veterans will participate in a pinning ceremony after the breakfast, which will be free for veterans and their families.

    "The pinning ceremony enables us to present the veterans with a memento of this occasion," McCallister said. "We have a significant number of veterans among our residents. We appreciate all they've done for our country and feel it is only appropriate to recognize their service."
