DeSouza spoke to the concerns of Caribbean businesses in Prince George's County and their interest in the development of a proposed County Trade Center. He is the CEO of Caribbean Cargo DC (CCDC); an international logistics and freight forwarding company specializing in shipping to the Caribbean, Central and South America. He is also co-founder of The Caribbean Business Alliance (CBA). Prior to his involvement with CCDC and CBA, DeSouza led a distinguished career at the Washington Post where he concluded his tenure as the Post's Director of Retail Advertising. County Executive Alsobrooks promised to make an introduction to the head of procurement to ensure Caribbean business owners received assistance in understanding the procurement process. She also assigned DeSouza to the Trade Center Planning Group as a representative of C-PAC and the Caribbean business community.
