Chalet Desserts, Inc. Expands Manufacturing in Sacramento Plant

New Production Lines and More Automated Equipment in New Production Space
 
SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Oct. 28, 2019 - PRLog -- Chalet Desserts is again investing in and expanding its food ingredients manufacturing capabilities with the opening of an additional 20,000 square-feet of manufacturing facility located at its plant at 2701 Land Avenue, Sacramento, California. The new expansion marks another major investment Chalet is making in the industries it serves. It will house a state-of-the-art enrober, panning operation and freeze tunnel that will produce chocolate flake, chocolate coated products, baked inclusions, including brownie and cheesecake pieces popular in ice cream. This expansion will double the production space and improve production flow of the company's current extruded doughs, bits, flakes, cake pops, enrobed cake bites and bark products. During the design phase, due consideration was given to key operational improvements for both quality and food safety. The design also includes a focus on food quality and safety, with modern sanitation equipment and processes and isolated production spaces. Environmental impact improvements include the use of LED lights, high-efficiency water heaters and new offices.

Chalet Desserts purchased the current facility at 2701 Land Avenue four years ago to provide increased space for expanding production. Since then the business has tripled in size. "Our growth has been fueled by investments processes, certifications and facilities" said Weber.
