The film was produced by Rutman and Scott Drucker, who is best known for directing "Who Is Arthur Chu?" Rutman and Ducker are long time collaborators and they filmed "Trained" in Chicago over a 48 hour period in Chicago. "No one believes we made this film in two days", states Rutman.
