Follow on Google News | Dr Stout Receives Community Impact AwardFounding Fullerton Collaborative Board Member Barry Ross, said "The Fullerton Collaborative Board of Directors is excited that our Executive Director, Debra Stout has been recognized for her community impact by the Leon Owens Foundation. Debra has significantly increased the membership of the Collaborative and moved our priority areas forward to increase their impact on the Fullerton community". After a 15-year management career in the Southern California teen retail clothing industry, Dr. Stout decided to change course. In 2000 she went to work for the OC Department of Education's alcohol, tobacco and other drug use and violence prevention programs for many years. Among numerous projects there, she coordinated a nationally acclaimed gang prevention and intervention program in conjunction with the Boys and Girls Club of Westminster. She has since served on the Board of Directors for a variety of local and Countywide programs. Dr Stout is the Faculty of CSU, Fullerton (since 2006) and Ashford University (since 2011) where she teaches a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses in Psychology, Child Development, Counseling, and Leadership as well as Non-Profit Principles and Practices. Today she uses her experience to assist a variety of non-profit programs in Southern California thru DoctorS Consulting which she founded with her husband Dr. Dallas Stout in 2004. Debbie's main project is serving as the Executive Director of the Fullerton Collaborative. Founded in 1989, the Fullerton Collaborative is a cooperative of executive directors, educators, activists, community service leaders and volunteers dedicated to building and supporting a healthy cohesive community. As an alliance of non-profit organizations and individuals who enjoy making "good things" happen for the community, we are able to provide community assistance where we are needed most.
