The Agency's INNOVATION DAYS USA 2019 Advanced Manufacturing program starts today in Salt Lake City

Chicago / Salt Lake City: The Italian Trade Agency's Innovation Days 2019 edition starts the week of November 10th in Salt Lake City, offering over 2,400 researchers and academics, taking part in the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)'s Conference, several opportunities to engage with Italian researchers and industrialists.

A special round table program and reception organized by the Agency, entitled The Italian Way to Advanced Manufacturing, on November 13, 2019, at 18:00, in Salon D, first floor, of the Marriott Hotel, in Salt Lake City. The round table will include an exciting panel discussion by ASME members and industry experts from Italy on novel technologies coming out of Italy and the best practices for collaborations between Italian and US companies and research centers in the area of advanced manufacturing.

The round table will have the following panelists illustrating Italian best practices in collaboration.

The moderator of the panel will be Marriner H. Merrill (BIO (https://www.linkedin.com/in/marriner-merrill-97045710/)), ASME board member for the Advanced Manufacturing Track at the conference and a researcher in multi-functional materials at the US Naval Research Laboratories.

Conference attendees will then be able to attend the Advanced Manufacturing Track Reception, sponsored by the Italian Trade Agency. The Advanced Manufacturing Track will present its Best Paper Awards during the reception.

The Agency chose to partner with ASME in organizing this event on the occasion of their annual International Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exposition (IMECE). IMECE is ASME's largest research and development conference focused primarily on mechanical engineering, but encompasses perspectives from many engineering disciplines connecting with thousands of peer researchers on a global level.
