ADELPHI ORCHESTRA's Sixteen Annual Young Artist Competition

RIVER EDGE, N.J. - Nov. 17, 2019 - PRLog -- Finalist play in a recital on April 18 2020 in New York City at the National Opera Center, Marc Scorca Recital Hall.

Open to Strings and winds of any nationality up to age 23. The 2020  first place winner perform with the Adelphi Orchestra during the 2020-21 Season. Prizes will be awarded in each category on April 18th. Deadline for Video Round is February 1 2020.

Previous winners include: Hikaru Yonezaki, Randall Goosby,  Bryan Cheng,  Xiaoxuan Shi, Nathan Meltzer, Ari Boutris, Ming Nga Cheung, Dylan Wu ,Anton Rist, Brieuc Vourch, Jennifer Choi, Lindy Tsai ,Ethan Siegel, Philo Lee and Christina Hughes.   Applications to be received by: February 1 2020.


About the Adelphi Orchestra
The Adelphi Orchestra is a professional, non-profit orchestra performing symphonic, chamber, operatic, choral and dance concerts. For the past 16 years, the Adelphi Orchestra has sponsored a Young Artist Competition and Young Artist Concerts throughout New Jersey and the New York metropolitan area. The Adelphi Orchestra presents concerts with accomplished national and international guest soloists and distinguished conductors. Nominated by its peers for the past 4 years in the Jersey Arts People's Choice Award in the Favorite Orchestra/Symphony Division, the Adelphi Orchestra is a member of the League of Orchestras and Opera America and is a partner orchestra with the Carnegie Hall Link Up program providing in-school concerts. The orchestra is currently under the direction of Music Director Richard Owen. For the past 66 years, it is northern New Jersey's longest continuously performing orchestra and a member of the New Jersey cultural community.
