Follow on Google News | Fullerton Residents Receive World Kindness Day HonorsThe Stouts were given the Kindness Award for Fullerton in honor of over 2 decades of volunteer work, donations to local non-profit causes and their pro bono professional services in their community. In bestowing the award, Supervisor Chaffee stated "Kindness is a special human value that brings us all together and connects us despite our differences, backgrounds, experiences or ideologies. The Stouts have committed time, skills and efforts to make a difference. Kindness is one thing we can all practice. It is as simple as extending a smile to a stranger." Dr. Dallas Stout said he was "a little embarrassed" Drs. Dallas and Debra Stout are on the faculty at California State University Fullerton and Ashford University. Dr. Dallas Stout also serves on the online faculty for BYU Idaho. When not teaching, they use their combined background of over 50 years working in the Southern California non-profit, business, education, management and coalition-building environments to assist a variety of non-profit programs in Southern California thru DoctorS Consulting which they co-founded in 2004. Because of their visible commitment and involvement in the fields of troubled youth, violence and gang prevention, the prevention and treatment of substance abuse and homelessness related issues, the Stouts are widely regarded as leaders in these causes.
