Change is a way of life for Anthony MarsaloBy: NetPinnacle Anthony Marsalo and his wife Jennifer led their protégés to countless athletic scholarships at many prestigious colleges across the country. "You can embrace it or you can be left behind," says Marsalo about change, who teaches young entrepreneurs about leadership and personal development. Change has been the constant theme for Anthony Marsalo, who takes a fearless approach as he navigates his companies through market changes, technology changes, and workplace changes. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, his parents were always there to keep him focused on his goals. In high school, Anthony Marsalo excelled as a championship hockey player, starting all four years on his varsity team. After graduating from Towson University with a bachelor's degree in Geology, Marsalo became interested in entrepreneurship. After starting his career with Progressive as a claims supervisor, Marsalo started his own business. Within 5 years, he became President of Twin Valley Property Management Inc., the fast-growing firm that absorbed Twin Valley Tree Service. Whether it's leading a small company through a series of mergers and acquisitions to become a big company or preparing a family-owned company for its next generation of leaderships, Marsalo says the key has been helping his employees deal with the stress of change. Anthony Marsalo also has not been afraid of change in his personal life. To demonstrate; "We chose to travel across the country to cities where softball is closely watched." Stated Marsalo. "This is where the talent scouts are so that's where we went to get noticed. My important role in life is teaching people to be the best versions of themselves." Marsalo said confidently. "This always starts with the family." After 10 years as a coach, Anthony Marsalo began looking for an exit from the softball life and the community center he and his wife Jennifer built. That exit came in the form of a job offer from a family-owned company focused on innovating ways to execute the design of a homeowner. Marsalo was recruited as a new business development specialist and tasked with attracting and delighting new clients. Unlike the community center he was leaving, a new opportunity at a leading construction development and design company presented a chance to utilize his customer relations experience. Marsalo was able to build connections with clients that would last for years to come. "New Business Development is a fantastic experience for me", said Marsalo, who helped the company land, several long term clients. Marsalo, who spent much of last year helping businesses and individuals become better leaders, improve company culture, and develop better customer relationships says his willingness to embrace change emphasizes the true nature of his career. "I'm in my element when I'm surrounded by people who make things happen and like to get things done", Marsalo said.
