The Ken Blanchard Companies®, a global leader in management training and coaching, today announced that its board of directors has named Scott Blanchard as the new president of The Ken Blanchard Companies.

Scott Blanchard succeeds Howard Farfel. Howard joined The Ken Blanchard Companies in 2002 as vice president of marketing. He served as president since 2012. Farfel leaves Blanchard to accept a CEO position at a San Diego-based organization.

"We are excited to have Scott Blanchard in this position, as he represents the next generation of passion and experience to lead The Ken Blanchard Companies," said Tom McKee, CEO of The Ken Blanchard Companies. "The leadership training industry is evolving, and Scott's combination of strong leadership, unwavering customer focus, and innovative business practices will allow Blanchard to take advantage of market opportunities ahead."

Scott was most recently Blanchard's Executive Vice President of Client Services and held a number of senior positions in product development, sales, and delivery. As a Senior Consulting Partner, Scott led major training interventions at numerous Fortune 500 companies.

An energetic innovator, Scott is a cofounder of Blanchard Coaching Services, which has democratized corporate coaching with its Coaching Management System and provided highest-caliber coaching to more than 10,000 clients worldwide since 2000. Scott was instrumental in making Blanchard one of the first leadership development companies to create and deploy multifaceted blended-learning implementations and engineer custom learning journeys with clients. In 2008, Scott co-founded Blanchard Online Learning to make Blanchard content more accessible and affordable. He continues to be passionate about using technology to make Blanchard content easy to access and simple to use.

Scott is co-author of the books Leverage Your Best, Ditch the Rest and Leading at a Higher Level as well as two of Blanchard's training programs, Coaching Essentials® and First-time Manager™. Scott is a tireless advocate for applying the latest research in adult development, self-determination theory, and social neuroscience to Blanchard leadership content.

Scott earned his bachelor's degree from Cornell University and his master's degree in Organizational Development from American University in Washington.

"Scott is known for his honest and energetic presentations on today's business challenges and the role of corporate environment and culture," says Blanchard co-founder and best-selling business author Ken Blanchard. "Scott shines a spotlight on practices that are not yielding the desired results for a company, and then provides practical solutions to pressing challenges."

Scott plans to leverage Blanchard's extensive research-backed content, technology, and ongoing research to enhance the company's quadruple bottom line: the customer experience, the employee experience, proper stewardship in our communities, and profitability.

"I am deeply honored to have been asked to lead The Ken Blanchard Companies and excited to build on the groundbreaking work of my parents and their colleagues. I am confident that we have the right leadership in place to help our customers transform themselves and their organizations to whole new level," shared Scott Blanchard.
