Makai Brewing Company Expands Production

OCEAN ISLE BEACH, N.C. - Jan. 2, 2020 - PRLog -- Makai Brewing Company in Ocean Isle Beach North Carolina (Brunswick County) will be adding three new 7 barrel fermenters on Friday January 3rd.  This expansion project marks the first since opening their production facility and taproom in October 2017.  Currently Makai Brewing Company is the oldest brewery in the county and is the only brewery that is 100% based in North Carolina.  They have a 3.5 barrel brewhouse and produces around 600 barrels per year.  This expansion will double the amount of beer that can be produced and allows the brewery to keep up with demand during the busy tourist season, as well as provide kegs to strategic events, restaurants, bottle shops and craft beer bars around the Cape Fear region.  Prior to the expansion, Makai Brewing Company beer was only available in the tasting room or at local beer festivals.  In addition to expanding production, Makai Brewing Company will also begin small batch 16oz canning in the first part of 2020 for more to-go packaging options. http://www.makaibrewing.com
