Meals On Wheels Tampa to host 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run to raise awareness and funds for Tampa's homebound

TAMPA, Fla. - Jan. 7, 2020 - PRLog -- This event is a vision brought to fruition by a team of Tampa's brightest high school students with the objective of raising awareness and funds for Meals On Wheels of Tampa. These students, who make up the Meals On Wheels High School Leadership Board, are tasked with enriching the lives of Tampa's homebound seniors and neighbors through one project a year.  Funds raised during this year's event will enable these students to execute their project of choice.

7:30am: Registration opens

9:00am: 5K start time

9:30am: 1-Mile Fun Run start time

The 5K is $25 per person and includes a t-shirt and finisher medal.  The 1-Mile Fun Run is $15 per person and includes a t-shirt and finisher ribbon.  Discount code available for current high school students.

Post Race: Awards will be given out to the overall winners and top three finishers in each gender and age bracket for the 5K.
