Born To Read, Inc. welcomes new member to Board of Directors

BEAUFORT, S.C. - Jan. 23, 2020 - PRLog -- Born To Read, Inc. (BTR) is pleased to welcome to the Board of Directors, Laura Riski who joined the Board at its January meeting.

Laura Riski was born in Wickliffe, Ohio and began teaching piano and accompanying in 1975. She has a Bachelor of Music degree from Miami University of Ohio and earned a master's degree from George Mason University in Piano Pedagogy and Performance in 2017. She and her husband Bill retired and moved to Dataw Island. Laura has been involved in the Dataw community's Lending Library, Book Club and Music Club. She is the Chapter Leader of 100 Women Who Care Beaufort and volunteers with Born To Read at Beaufort Memorial Hospital.

The Board of Directors at Born To Read, Inc. provides leadership in carrying out the mission to promote early childhood literacy and language development, while helping new parents understand their critical role as their child's first and foremost important teacher.
