'Around the World Open House' features $20G in giveaways

RESTON, Va. - Jan. 27, 2020 - PRLog -- One stop at Hunters Woods at Trails Edge could provide a glimpse of the world and an opportunity to earn a share of $20,000 in giveaways.

    The senior living community at 2222 Colts Neck Road in Reston will hold its New Year's  Around the World Open House from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 30. The event is open to the public.

    "Our community will feature various spots decorated in a theme representative of different continents throughout the world," said Cissy Nickel, Executive Director of Independent Living at Hunters Woods at Trails Edge. "There will be authentic food and beverages at each spot. A docent, or guide, from each of the various regions we spotlight will speak about the cultural New Year's traditions and celebrations unique to that region as well as general cultural differences. We also will have international-themed entertainment."

    Nickel explained that each attendee will be provided a special passport for the event. They then will have their passport stamped at each "continent." Before leaving a specific area, the attendees will turn in their passport to qualify for the giveaways. Each attendee who turns in the invitation they received will be given two guest passes to a VIP champagne surf & turf dinner.

    "The giveaways will include tablets, TVs, season tickets to Center Stage Theater, free downsizing services from WayForth Moving & Storage and much more," Nickel said.

    Hunter's Woods at Trails Edge opened in June 2019, providing four levels of care in the 300,000 square feet community. The state-of-the-art retirement community is nestled in a tranquil wooded setting on the Turquoise Nature Trail, Reston Town Center, and Reston Community Center.
