TYRONE, Pa. - Jan. 30, 2020 - PRLog -- Colonial Courtyard at Tyrone will host a Sip & Paint event on Thursday, Feb. 6 at the senior living community located at 5546 East Pleasant Valley Boulevard.

All proceeds from the event, which is open to the public from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., will benefit the Alzheimer's Association.

Cost to participate is $40. Limited seating is available and RSVP is requested no later than Tuesday, Feb. 4. Call 814.686.5970 to reserve a spot.

"We're trying to think spring. Even though it's going to be held in February, we're thinking spring," said Jenn Gummo, Colonial Courtyard at Tyrone Community Relations Director.

Motley Muse of Altoona will provide guidance and encouragement throughout the painting party. Light refreshments and beverages will be provided.

Artist Yvette Staufert of Motley Muse will offer step-by-step instructions as participants paint the spring-themed image of a street lamp post and a tree with colorful blossoms. Staufert was trained at Northern Arizona University and has been creating and selling art since 2003, according to the Motley Muse website.

"We're just hoping to get folks from the community in to learn about us," Gummo said. "It's a nice way to have people come in and see who we are and what we do. It's a fun thing to do in the middle of the winter. It's a nice social, relaxed atmosphere."
