OTTAWA, Ontario - Feb. 19, 2020 - PRLog -- Today the Afghanistan election commission reaffirmed the winner of the ballot for the September 2019 election. In December 2019 the commission originally announced the winner of the ballot.

That will be Ashraf Ghani heading the war-torn country for the second term of the presidency. The people rest assured the government of Ghani will begin peace talks with the Taliban.

Today, as before, war lords, mafia, and mujahideen groups are in power alongside the Ghani's government while there still some from Karzai's government as well.

In ToloNews the civilian citizens in Afghanistan also said that innocent people are killed either on the ground or by air by military activities. Former President Karzai has repeatedly asked for stopping these operations.

Civilians get caught in the middle of it all, from Daesh militants to US and world forces to mother of all bombs dropped under Donald Trump's orders, Afghanistan is vulnerable day after day with no peace in sight.

While the Independent Election Commission of Afghanistan has again announced the winner, the job is now left for President Ghani to start peace talks which he has postponed for too long.

If peace is not reached in this term - it will not be achieved in the future due to American-backed democratic government which simply doesn't work properly in Afghanistan.
