Follow on Google News | Acts 4 Ministry & The Ungroup Society Seeking Accessories For Prom Dress Give-Away Event April 18By: Acts 4 Ministry "We are excited," stated The Ungroup Society's Prom Dress Giveaway Coordinator Rhonda Gatling, "about this year's event and our deepening partnership with Acts 4 Ministry. Together we help provide young women with the full experience of searching for the perfect prom gown." Through Friday, April 17, both organizations will welcome donations of accessories and dresses, plus either direct professional services of hairdressers and nail technicians or gift cards for the young ladies to receive these services. Acts 4 Ministry Executive Director Sarah Elizabeth Carabetta commented, "Year-round we welcome dress donations that our organizations re-purpose into specialty items to help make each young lady feel special and elegant on her prom night. "We achieve Acts 4's goals of meeting the daily needs of families and individuals who have been displaced from their homes by collecting and distributing, free-of-charge to recipients, clothing, housewares, and furniture. Annually we distribute clothing to nearly 6,000 people, and over 10,000 pieces of furniture and housewares, to people of varying income levels area-wide." Ungroup Society Founder Warren Leach added, "Our organization was born out of the idea that a person need not belong to any particular religious order, organization or ethnic group to help serve others. Like Acts 4 Ministry, our members desire to be free of rules and regulations that sometimes hinder cooperation and divide different groups." On Saturday, April 18, young ladies seeking dresses and accessories can go to the New Opportunities Auditorium at 232 North Elm Street in Waterbury between 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to select a maximum of two prom dresses and accessories at no cost. Tax-deductible donations can be brought to Acts 4 Ministry at 1713 Thomaston Avenue in Waterbury, Mondays through Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and Thursdays 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The retail store and donation center is open to the public Thursdays from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m., Fridays 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Cash or money order donations can be U.S. Mailed to P.O.
