RALEIGH, N.C. - March 12, 2020 - PRLog -- Scott McVeigh, owner of Raleigh-based video production company Incue, has won two coveted Addy Awards for his work on the Metavivor Fashion Show video. The video tells the story of a courageous group of women with metastatic breast cancer who walk the runway in a NY Fashion Week lingerie fashion show to raise awareness and funds for research to find treatments for the disease. The Metavivor video received the Gold award for online video and the Mosaic award for diversity.

McVeigh co-produced, shot and edited the piece for client Naomi Newman and Hocus Pocus Productions. Naomi also hired Scott to direct a series of spots for Boone, North Carolina Tourism through the Clean Advertising Agency, and those spots also won awards, Gold for in-theater commercial and 2 Silvers for internet commercials as well as the Silver for the overall campaign.

Naomi Newman and Scott McVeigh are friends who worked previously together on various HBO projects while McVeigh was based in Los Angeles and Newman in New York. Both made moves to North Carolina - unbeknownst to each other - and reunited for these projects.

McVeigh said, "Naomi and I have a long history, so to be able to collaborate again was great, and we couldn't have had a wider range of projects between the fun of the Boone spots and the seriousness of the cancer video. I feel very fortunate."

The American Advertising Awards, is the ad industry's largest and most representative competition, attracting over 40,000 entries every year. Its mission is to recognize and reward the creative spirit of excellence in the art of advertising. At the local level, the Triangle Advertising Federation hosted their signature event on February 20th, where the awards were presented. John Moore, Awards Chair for the Triangle Advertising Federation and Creative Director at French | West | Vaughan, said, "At the Awards Gala we play small portions of our video winners, but we stopped the room and played the entire Metavivor video. All nine minutes of it. It just felt too important and powerful to cut short."
