Dedicated to honoring the brightest female minds from around the world, the Databird Female Executive of the Year awards are awarded by Databird Business Journal. The awards were created to recognize the female executives who have shown outstanding leadership and significant contributions in their careers over the past year. The criteria for consideration are tangible results and goals achieved. Hakonson won bronze in the categories "Top Small Business Female Executive - 1-25 Employees" and "Rising Star"  (female executives under 40).

The awards were given March 12th, 2020, with the winners chosen by a jury made up of creative minds, business influencers, and journalists.
