Police and Border Control Offered Faster ID and Vehicle Inspection on their Smartphones

Mobile border control and stop-checks will enable faster mobilization of security services to control spread of coronavirus

VIENNA - March 18, 2020 - PRLog -- Anyline, a leading provider of Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology, is offering fast integration for security services to enable smartphone-based border control and stop-checks.

With the worldwide spread of the coronavirus, police and border security are facing an  unprecedented challenge to quickly roll out checks at air, land and sea borders. To answer this, Anyline will enable these government agencies to quickly install scanning technology onto their mobile devices.

At airports, the technology can be used to instantly scan passports, visas, green cards and newly introduced passport cards for travelers. Additionally, vehicles at land and sea borders can also be recorded by the officer scanning the license plate and vehicle identification number (VIN) before allowing entrance or exit.

Anyline (https://anyline.com/) CEO Lukas Kinigadner said:

"Since the start of the outbreak, we have seen an almost 50% increase in searches from police and governments for ways to scan IDs and vehicles from a smartphone.

Officers need this technology as soon as possible, which is why we will offer all necessary support to integrate it for any police force and border control agency."
