Cuatro Puntos Ensemble to give concert of string chamber music by Britten & Brahms

GLASTONBURY, Conn. - March 23, 2020 - PRLog -- The Cuatro Puntos Ensemble, a chamber music group with beginnings in Glastonbury, is returning to their place of origin for a concert of chamber music standards for string quintet. Cuatro Puntos Ensemble (Aaron Packard & Annie Trépanier, violins; Steve Larson & Kevin Bishop, violas; Allan Ballinger, cello) has toured around the world, recorded numerous critically acclaimed albums, been heard on NPR, BBC, and several movie soundtracks. A album review in Fanfare magazine stated that they have a "great depth of sound" and deliver a "virtuostic performance." On Saturday, May 16, 2020 at 7 pm they will give a free concert at the Lutheran Church of St. Mark, 75 Griswold St., Glastonbury.

On the program will be some staple chamber music works for string quintet: Benjamin Britten's Phantasy in F Minor for String Quintet and Johannes Brahms' String Quintet in F Major, Op. 88. Also on the program will be Unwinding II by Ursula Kwong-Brown, an American composer based in New York.

Please join us at the Lutheran Church of St. Mark, Glastonbury, CT on Saturday, May 16 at 7 pm. Admission is free, but a suggested donation of $10 per adult will support the projects of Cuatro Puntos. If you are unable to join us in person, you can join us by live stream at CuatroPuntos.org
