ASBO International Joins Equitable, DonorChoose In Supporting Remote Learning Resources

ASHBURN, Va. - April 17, 2020 - PRLog -- ASBO International has joined Equitable, an ASBO Strategic Partner for 12 years, in support of Keep Kids Learning, a new program from DonorsChoose.

The Keep Kids Learning program enables teachers serving low-income communities to send personalized educational care packages—ranging from shelf-stable groceries to books and building blocks—to their students' homes to help facilitate remote learning.

"It's imperative that all students have the resources they need to learn under these extraordinary circumstances," says ASBO International Executive Director David Lewis. "This is especially critical for those students who are most affected by the economic downturn, who typically rely on schools for necessities such as meals, books, notebooks, crayons, and pencils. We are proud to support such a valuable program."

When Equitable was looking for ways to assist during the pandemic, they reached out to ASBO International to help identify the best way to reach these in-need communities. ASBO International was proud to guide Equitable in fulfilling their commitment of a $500,000 donation to benefit education.
