Local hemp entrepreneurs launch CBD for a Cause supporting individuals affected by COVID-19

DENVER - April 30, 2020 - PRLog -- Healing Power of Hemp in collaboration with Boulder Extracts is proud to launch CBD & Me events to support those impacted by economic downturn due to the COVID-19 shutdowns.  After spending 20 years in non-profit sector working in human services, CEO and Founder of Healing Power of Hemp, Brenda McChesney has a compassion for those struggling. So, when COVID-19 caused shutdowns across the United States, she decided to launch a charitable giving arm called CBD for a Cause, to help those who are struggling across the health, wellness, and beauty industries.

To grow the impact around this vision and her commitment to helping humans flourish through hemp, she joined forces with Boulder Extracts CEO, restauranteur, & creator of national mixology television show, Daniel Seelbinder, and expanded CBD for a Cause to include hospitality workers, artists and musicians impacted by the pandemic.

Before COVID-19, the team planned to launch CBD & Me Parties in a Canvas and Cocktails type setting where individuals and groups could playfully engage with hemp CBD in a fun and creative way. Then the shutdown happened! Gyms, spas, bars, and restaurants all began closing their doors, leaving thousands of professionals across the health, wellness, beauty, hospitality, and entertainment industries suddenly without income.

In searching for a solution, the Healing Power of Hemp team decided to  launch CBD for a Cause and pivoted CBD & Me Parties to be a virtual at-home hemp party featuring guest experts showcasing their favorite at-home hemp creations. As part of their giving back effort, 100% of profits from each video go directly to the featured guest expert. Thus far in their CBD & Me Party journey, they have hosted internationally renown DJs, DJ Taz Rashid and DJ Twist, Colorado-native singer-song writer Hillary Branik, international beauty expert Sam La Bella, Buddhist Retreat Center Chef Bernie Bernier, and more!
