Ocean ENT will reopen its offices on May 4

TOMS RIVER, N.J. - May 1, 2020 - PRLog -- As New Jersey continues to see a decline in the number of positive COVID-19 cases and associated hospitalizations, Ocean Otolaryngology Associates (Ocean ENT) has announced it will reopen its Manasquan and Toms River offices for appointments on May 4. Telemedicine video visits will also be available.

"Since we are now on the downside of the coronavirus curve in New Jersey, we have decided to open our office to a greater number of patients," said Dr. Bruce W. Peters of Ocean ENT. "As we continue to follow all CDC guidelines and recommendations from the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS), all patients will be required to wear a face mask or facial covering upon entrance to our offices. Our staff will continue to screen patients to determine whether an in-person or telemedicine appointment is appropriate."

For those who opt for a telemedicine appointment, the virtual visit will be conducted either through a smartphone via Facetime or a video call, or through a program called doxy.me, which is accessible from desktop computers, tablets and smartphones. Once an appointment is scheduled with an Ocean ENT physician, an email will be sent to the patient with a website link to Ocean ENT's virtual waiting room. The patient will then check-in on-screen and wait for the Ocean ENT physician to start the virtual visit. "This is an extremely user-friendly process that allows me to continue providing therapeutic services to my patients, especially those who are at the highest risk of contracting the COVID-19," said Dr. Peters.
