The Telly Awards is the premier award honoring video and television across all screens. Established in 1979, The Telly Awards receives over 13,000 entries from all 50 states and 5 continents. Entrants are judged by The Telly Awards Judging Council—an industry body of over 200 leading experts including advertising agencies, production companies, and major television networks, reflective of the multiscreen industry The Telly Awards celebrates. Under this year's "Telly Awards Winners Tell Great Stories" theme, standouts encompass directors, editors, animators, producers, technologists, and more across a wide range of industries, company sizes, and regions. Tony Mazzarella, co-owner of MazzMedia, explained, "The goal of the City of Bristol Mayor's Opioid Taskforce series is to educate the public on the impact of the opioid epidemic on the community. In the creation of the series, it was important to present the different perspectives of the people who are directly impacted. The project included interviewing patients, families, community leaders, first responders, criminal justice personnel, medical and health professionals, educators and the faith community to share their stories." The video series is currently appearing on the City of Bristol's social media platforms. Started in 1982 by brothers, Tom and Tony Mazzarella, MazzMedia specializes in creating and producing video content for businesses across a variety of industries across the United States. Some of the company's recent regional and nationwide projects include a series of safety training videos for Phalcon, Ltd., Farmington, Conn.; promotional videos for The City of Bristol Economic and Community Development Department; marketing and sales productions for Turning Point Centers, Sandy, Utah; and health education videos for Infobase Publishing, New York City.
